If you have any questions about steaming please contact me.
Before you sit over your steaming pot, you will want to hold your hand over the steam to test the temperature and make sure it feels comfortable. Doing so will ensure you do not get burnt. If after sitting down, you find that the steam is still too hot for comfort, simply let the water cool down longer before resuming your steam session.
To receive optimal results for your individual needs, it is important to know which herbal blend is best for you. If you're not sure which herbal blend is best for you, please read the description of each herbal blend before purchasing. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Add your herbs to a tea bag. If you purchased your herbs from me, tea bags are included in your herbal blend.
Add 6 C. of purified water to a non-toxic pot. Ceramic holds heat best. Please avoid non-stick cookware.
Once your water boils, remove from heat, add your herbs and cover.
Let the herbs steep for 5-10 min.
If you plan to reuse your herbs, remove the tea bag from water before steaming.
Check that the steam is at a comfortable temperature with your hand before sitting over the pot.
If water is too cool, slowly reheat but don't let herbs boil.
Enjoy your steam!

Steaming immediately postpartum has amazing healing benefits. The cervix isn't fully closed until about 6-8 weeks after childbirth. This allows the steam to gently reach the uterine walls and encourage a full cleanse post birth.
Postpartum steaming has so many benefits including tightening of the vaginal canal, healing of sutures, lowering blood pressure, accelerated healing and helping the uterus return to its original size.
I highly recommend you check out this 4th Trimester Vaginal Steam Study. The results are amazing to see.
It is recommended you work with a Peristeam Hydrotherapist for Postpartum steaming.

Healing trauma is not a simple thing. However vaginal steaming is a beautiful and soothing way to focus self care towards your pelvis. Women have found this to be an effective way of addressing sexual trauma. Give yourself room to process any emotions that come up while steaming and seek out emotional support if needed.
The benefits of steaming immediately postpartum are phenomenal. This is one of the most common uses for Yoni Steaming. The healing properties of steam and yoni steam herbs help the uterus return to its proper place in the body, tighten the vaginal canal, heal sutures, soften scar tissue and contribute to overall wellness. It is recommended to work with a Peristeam Hydrotherapist during this time.
